At a time when many Americans are distressed, JINGLE BASH 2009: “Making Spirits Bright!” promises to be a joyous celebration that will foster a genuine sense of appreciation for family, community, and all of the intangible things that we each hold dear. More than 200 guests—including foster children from The Little People’s World Group Home(s)–will join us at our signature holiday event which will feature a delicious family style buffet lunch, our annual gingerbread house contest, photos with Santa, and an extraordinary toy giveaway! The day will kick off with dozens of holiday games, team-building activities, and free professional family portraits. A brief program highlighting our students’ academic achievements and featuring appearances by specially invited guests will directly follow our family-style lunch. The day will conclude with a visit to “An Open Door’s Toys & Gifts Store” where each youth will select 2 toys to keep, and an additional toy to be donated to a homeless child currently residing at the Los Angeles Mission.
